E-Scooters

Hello residents

Yesterday a colleague and I seized an E-SCOOTER whilst having two persons on it, riding on the pavement towards pedestrians. We received the excuse that the riders were not aware they could not ride E-SCOOTERS in public. I believe enough time has past that this is no longer an acceptable reason. At Kent Police we will still continue to educate but will also take action on improper use of E-SCOOTERS. I have attached a poster that clearly explains E-SCOOTERS cannot be ridden in public. Young persons are not exempt from this, these laws extend to all ages.
